Sekgosese Police have opened a case of calpable homicide following the death of a 14-year-old girl from Ga-Mamaila village who jumped out of a moving open bakkie at a t-junction to Sephokubje village.

This is said to have happened around 2am on Sunday when three young ladies were given a lift from Roerfontein to supposedly Ga-Mamaila village by two unknown men however instead of going to Ga-Mamaila village the driver turned to Sephokubje village.

“They tried to stop the car but the driver kept on driving until they decided to jump out of a moving open bakkie. Unfortunately, the 14-year-old girl died on the scene and the other two were injured”, said Sekgosese Police’ Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Phalela Mashao.

Up to so far, the driver is not known however he was driving a white Toyota Hilux single cap bakkie. Anyone with information may call the nearest police station.
