IT WAS NOT A HIT AND RUN, THE DRIVER CALLED THE POLICE – D11 ACCIDENT

The Police in Sekgosese have confirmed that a case of culpable homicide was opened following the death of a 24-year-old  pedestrian who was knocked down by a truck last night along  D11 road not far from a t-junction to Sephokubje village.

Moreover, it was confirmed that it was not a hit and run.

“It was not a hit and run as the driver is the one who reported the accident to the police”, said Sekgosese Police’ Spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Mphalela Mashao.

He further explained that in a case like this they don’t make immediate arrest however they have taken the statement from the driver. Therefore further investigations will tell if there is a need to charge the driver.

The deceased was identified as Mpho Seshoka from Roerfontein village in Sekgosese.
