Former Miss Sekgosese 2019/20 Carol Ramollo from Ga-Mamaila village in Sekgosese continues to do wonders in the modelling industry.

Last month she was crowned as a Queen during the Face of Devotion, a provincial competition that was held in Polokwane.

“It was overwhelming especially since I was crowned amongst all those beautiful and smart queens but to be a deserving queen for that day it was an honour and I am forever grateful”, said theQueen for the Face of Devotion in Limpopo, Carol Ramollo.

She sees the new development in her journey as a confidence booster.

“To be acknowledged as the queen that I am with or without a crown it is simply a sign of how valid my dreams are. I just have to stay humble and work extra hard”, she added.

As the Queen for the Face of Devotion her responsibilities emphasize the course that is close to her heart which is appreciating all varieties of beauty in women and creating a positive environment where women will be their own individuals and fight gender stereotyping.

“We women go under a lot of depression and anxiety simply because we are not appreciated for who and how we are by other fellow women and the rest of the society. The little complements we give to each other are more than enough to make another queen’s day”, Ramollo told Sekgosese Insider.

The 19-year-old already aims to become Miss Universe in the good days to come. She does not see growing up in a less privileged village as a challenge to achieving her dreams.

“I believe like every other young model to reach higher platforms like Miss Universe where I’ll showcase my intelligence and raise my voice in a bigger space. Most importantly, to simply build a positive image to my home girls that coming from a less privileged village does not define how our goals should turn out”, she said.

Ramollo started her modelling journey in 2017 where she was crowned Miss Ambitious 1st Princess then 2019 Miss Sekgosese Queen. She said both events have helped build her in their own unique ways, something she will always be grateful for.

“I would say my beloved mom, my sister Eunice and our very own founder of Trucam Ultimate Support, Trudy Rashijane but in the industry simply Zozibini Tunzi for how she carries herself as a queen”, said Ramollo.

To every young girl that looks up to me believe in the power of your dreams and stand up for that dream regardless of whatever the opinions society has upon you and believe that your lack of success in every occasion is not a reflection of your abilities.
