AN ELDERLY WOMAN KILLED AT SEPHUKUBJE VILLAGE

[SEPHUKUBJE] Information reaching our news desk reveals that an elderly woman was allegedly killed in the early hours of today at her home, Monate Section in Sephokubje village.

At this stage the details of what actually happened are still sketchy however the Station Commander at Sekgosese Police Station, Colonel Machethe confirmed that the elderly woman was certified dead at the scene and was taken to government mortuary.

Moreover the suspect who is residing at Sephukubje village was taken to Sekgosese Police Station for questioning.

“They are busy interviewing the possible suspect and the elderly woman was certified dead and she has been taken to government mortuary”, said Colonel Machethe.

There are speculations that the victim was raped, stabbed, set on fire and left for dead.

“We can’t confirm now if she was raped or not but the pathologist will confirm when they conduct post mortem. “, said Colonel Machethe.

Police investigations are continuing.
